Wish List
When disaster strikes
halfway around the world, our country jumps to send help, aid and funds to
people they do not even know. However, we tend to overlook the needs of those
living right in our own neighborhoods. There are children right here that do not
have everything they need. At Sts. Peter and Paul Academy we strive to educate
the whole child, spiritually, physically and emotionally, while bringing Hope and Faith into their lives. Presently we have 19
children who are struggling. Their parents have lost jobs and lost homes, but
they want to make sure their children can still attend the Academy. Every family
who attends Sts. Peter and Paul Academy helps keep costs as low as possible, by
volunteering 30 hours at the school. Each family takes turns cleaning the school
to keep janitorial costs out of the budget. Children help with these tasks and
are learning through doing. They see how important this education is to their
families when they actually work to achieve it. Every penny at Sts. Peter and Paul Academy is spent thriftily. There is no room for waste in this school budget. We have several staff members who volunteer their time to teach the children Computer, Art, Religion, Music and Gym, as well as a volunteer nurse. The tuition is one of the lowest in the tri-state at $2390 per child, yet some families still struggle to make ends meet and be able to cover this cost. Sts. Peter and Paul
Academy is a 501(c)3 organization. If you chose to make a donation to help
sponsor a student, your donation would be completely tax deductible. Won’t you

Thank you to everyone who has been giving of their time, talents and treasures to make this Academy the best it can be. Thank you from the children. Thank you from the community. Sts. Peter and Paul Academy is in need of: Since Sts. Peter and Paul Academy has purchased the building we formerly rented at 231 Clark Road, we have been blessed with the donation of a new roof. However, we still would appreciate donations to help pay off the balance of the building. Also listed below are more of our needs and wishes. A new boiler - While the current boiler is safe and functioning, a long time look down the road, would warrant a new boiler that is more efficient.

Below are the donations that have been given to the Academy to fulfill past wish lists. Thank you to all of our generous donors!
Cork Strips - these 1" x 4' or 1" x 8' strips are attached to the wall surface in the hallways, beside the classrooms. Teachers love these to staple papers for display of students' work. Thanks to an anonymous donor, the cork strips were purchased and installed throughout the building. The teachers and students appreciate this immensely - no more taped works falling off the tile walls! A paper shredder is the newest wish added. The paper shredder appeared shortly after this was posted. Thank you very much! A wet/ dry vac is needed. Thanks to Burke Construction and Allen's Garage for the generous donation of a new shop vac. 2 or 3 Battery-Powered Radios in case of an Emergency. Battery-Powered Wall Clocks for each classroom, total 10. Thanks to Bill Ward for the clocks for every classroom. The teachers really appreciate them. Laminator- this machine is very useful to all teachers. It is used to cover papers, etc. with a thin protective sheet of plastic. Teachers use this for making books, saving projects, etc. Thanks to Mr. Carmine Donsante for the generous donation of the Laminator and supply of laminating sheets. Smart Boards- this donation would really help update the Academy. It is expensive and a mobile version could be used in every classroom. Every child could benefit from this donation. A fund was started and added to by the Parent's Club insuring the needed money to purchase a portable model that can be used in all classrooms. Money was also donated to buy the LCD projector needed to go with the Smart Board. The LCD projector can also be used on screens in the classrooms until a Smart Board arrives.
